Bohemura jahni Jaekel, 1903
(photo taken by V. Petr)

Possibly the only example of macrophagy in Lower Palaeozoic brittlestars!

This extremely unique specimen of the Bohemian protasterid brittlestar was 'frozen' while clearly feeding on the tail of the carpoid Dendrocystites sedgwicki. It comes from the Middle Ordovician, Berounian (Caradocian), Zahorany Formation.
