Possibly the only example of macrophagy in Lower Palaeozoic brittlestars!
Detail of the same extremely unique specimen of the
Bohemian protasterid brittlestar 'frozen' while clearly feeding on the tail of
the carpoid Dendrocystites sedgwicki. It comes from the Middle
Ordovician, Berounian (Caradocian), Zahorany Formation.
